Due to some exciting changes at Exhale to Inhale, we are now able to hire Wellness Instructors. We value the time, effort, and expertise of our teachers and as an organization, continually look for ways to promote equity and accessibility within our community. We are thrilled to announce our new team members this week.

Ailen Pedraza

Ailen completed their 200 hour Teacher Training at The Yoga Room and also holds additional certification in Trauma-Informed Yoga from Exhale to Inhale, where they have been teaching since September 2020.Ailen has been harnessing the power of yoga for over 10 years! Practicing and serving as a work-study in studios based in New York, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Madrid, and Rome. Their practice is the glue that keeps their mind at peace and their body in one piece.

Alexa Bull

Alexa is a holistic health coach and yoga/pilates instructor based in Brooklyn, NY. After spending six years designing in the fashion industry, Alexa began to pursue her true passion of sharing and helping others find their own happiness and peace through yoga and movement. She completed her 200 hout training at Yogamaya in 2018, and completed an additional training in Yoga Nidra, Restorative/Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates.

Allison Field

Allison is a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher RYT 200 hour in New York City. She has taught in gyms from Manhattan Plaza Health Club, to Grassroots Fitness Project, and in studios like Sonic Yoga where she trained. She offers in-home private yoga sessions and teaches corporate meditations and workshops. She is so grateful for the practice of yoga and the ability to share it with her community. She hopes to bring a little more light and positivity into the world and specifically into YOUR life.

Dana Asby

Dana Asby, MA, MEd is a developmental and educational psychology researcher and author, as well as a mindfulness, growth mindset, and transformational leadership educator. She is the Director of Innovation & Research Support at the New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center. As a trauma-informed yoga teacher and neuroscience researcher, Dana understands how mindfulness can change the structure of the brain to help heal the effects of attachment disorders, mental health challenges, trauma, and toxic stress.

Ellyn Gerry

Ellyn completed her 200 hour Teacher Training at New York Yoga and her 300hr Advanced Teacher Training at Yoga Shanti. She has additional certification as a Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teacher with The Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC and Trauma-Informed Yoga with Exhale to Inhale. She also holds Certification in Yin Yoga and Accessible Yoga. Ellyn has over twenty years of experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, and is certified with NASM as a Women's Fitness Specialist.

Elvi Rivas

Elvi is a member of Voices of Organizational Women (VOW), where she works as an activist to revolutionize domestic violence policy. She is extremely passionate about Yoga and its ability to help individuals connect to their breath, be present, and develop peace of mind. Elvi received her Bachelor in Business Management from Monroe College in 2006 and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Manhattan College in 2019. Elvi received her 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training certificate through Sweet Water Dance and Yoga Studio in 2019.

Jeesoo Park

Jeesoo Park is a certified Hot Power and Vinyasa Flow Yoga instructor. She teaches private clients and group classes at Pure Yoga in New York City. A former Division I track athlete and competitive equestrian, Jeesoo ensures her sequences are empowering and challenging, designed to help yogis sweat out the stress and feel strong everyday.

Lisa Brody

Lisa began studying Iyengar yoga in London in the 1990's. She began teaching in 2001 in Venezuela. She studied Prana Vinyasa Flow with Shiva Rea in California, where she profoundly increased her understanding of the power of the breath and the benefits of a more flowing, feminine yoga practice. Since 2008 she has been studying Tantra and Yoga Nidra at ISHTA Yoga in New York. She became certified in TCTSY in 2017. She teaches trauma sensitive yoga in Spanish and English in Venezuela and New York.

Maria Phegan is a mom, yoga teacher, and professional ballet dancer. She has had a 26 year ballet career, and has spent the last decade at The Metropolitan Opera. Maria received her 200-hour YTT at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2007, and has been teaching in NYC since 2009. She is a Deep Play for Kids Certified Teacher, and holds a Prenatal/ Postnatal Certificate from YogaWorks. Maria was a 2020 scholarship recipient of Exhale to Inhale’s Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training.

LEARN MORE ABOUT NECHAMA

Nechama has certifications in Reiki, Gong Therapy, Vocal Sound Healing, and Yoga, as well as in Integrative Therapy as taught by the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program. She has studied with Don Conreaux in his first Gong Master certification at the Integral Yoga Institute NY, and dove deeper into the healing power of the gong to emerge in 2014 guiding sound bath meditations specializing in gongs and private Gong Therapy sessions as taught by Mehtab Benton.

LEARN MORE ABOUT SHAYNA

Shayna began her yoga journey in India in 1999. In addition to a PhD in English, she is certified in Forrest Yoga. Through loving support, Shayna encourages students to tap into their truest self and to carry those gifts off the mat and into their lives.
