While the majority of Exhale to Inhale classes take place at domestic violence shelters, crisis centers or other places where survivors typically go for services, we do offer classes that are open to the public and anyone can drop in!

A student shared with me after class one day that she had recently left a shelter and was now on her own really for the first time since her traumatic situation. She said that shelters tend to have a lot of structure and support, and she felt like she was flailing a bit now that she’s on her own — but that the community classes were so helpful for people like her just transitioning back into life. I’m sure that’s why we started these community center classes, but it really validated how effective it is to sometimes take the classes outside of the shelter system and into neighborhoods that need them!
