Move For Meaning with Tara & Theresa @ Anahata 10/12

  • Anahata Yoga & Healing Arts 35 North Front Street 2nd Floor Kingston, NY, 12401 United States (map)

Anahata (अनाहत) is the heart chakra, and it symbolizes love, empathy, selflessness and devotion. Its power and magnitude inspires us to love, be compassionate, altruistic and to accept divine actions. When acting from our heart, we make decisions based upon our higher self, not on the unfulfilled emotions and desires of our lower nature.

Join us for a special evening of Yoga Nidra and Gong Sound Healing. From inner peace to outer peace, we can make a difference. Join the movement with your donation to this important cause!

Yoga Nidra or divine sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. It is a state where your body is encouraged to reach deep relaxation through a series of verbal instructions given during the session. In yoga nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light pratyahara with four of his or her senses internalised, that is, withdrawn, and only the hearing remains connected to the instructions. The practice of yoga nidra has been found to deeply heal anxiety and tension. Led by Tara Sanders.

The Gong is one of man’s oldest therapeutic instruments, and has been used in yoga, sound meditation, and vibrational therapy for ages. The sounds and vibrations of the Gong are used for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and as a facilitator to break up emotional blockages. The sounds of the Gong have the power to resonate in every cell of the body simultaneously causing transformation of the entire self. During a Gong Bath aka a sound bath, all you need to do is relax on your back, or sit up in a meditative posture and experience the healing sounds of the Gong. Led by Theresa.
