Enjoy an energizing and grounding yoga practice designed to strengthen, inspire, and empower. Samara Andrade is a 200-hour E-RYT and Yoga Tune Up© integrated teacher and movement educator. She has been teaching yoga for over eight years in New York, Sudan, Nepal, Switzerland, and Afghanistan and has trained with experts in in biomechanics, embodied anatomy and trauma-informed yoga. Samara’s classes have a focus on alignment and balance, maintaining a connection between the body, mind, and breath as she carefully guides students through dynamic and creative sequences. She infuses the physical practice with breath-work, gratitude, mindfulness and meditation techniques. Her classes are designed to support and empower students to re-discover an innate awareness with their bodies and re-pattern a stronger foundation. She currently teaches at public studios in Brooklyn and NY as well as for United Nations staff, veterans and domestic violence survivors. Samara is co-founder Feet on the Ground (www.feet-on-the-ground.com), an organization which supports individuals and communities affected by trauma in building resilience from within through the breath and movement of yoga and the Aid Worker Wellness Directory.
