College Program: From Wellness to Wellbeing

Our college program offers in-person and on-demand trauma-informed yoga classes for 36 weeks a year at 10 colleges across New York City. This program also trains students, staff, and faculty to create trauma-sensitive environments in partnerships with other organizations, including the Crime Victims Treatment Center. With college students being one of the most at-risk groups for experiencing sexual assault, our trauma-informed yoga classes continue to be vital tools in supporting the mental health and healing journeys of students across New York City campuses.

Thank you to the Kate Spade New York Foundation for making this work possible!

Testimonial

“I’m passionate about the college program because 43% of college aged women report experiencing intimate partner violence. Offering these students a free trauma-informed yoga class supports their healing journey and nurtures empowerment.”

— Lyssette Horne, College Program Manager
